Having been inspired by Margot’s story, Plymouth local Lucy Clark today organised a donor registration event in partnership with Delete Blood Cancer UK to encourage people to join the stem cell register.
Bone marrow transplant recipient, Brian Baggott (Team Margot, Isle of Wight) also attended to support the event and to provide more first-hand insight as to what bone marrow / stem cell transplants are all about & just how much his donor meant to him.
Today’s event resulted in 41 more people joining the stem cell register and £770 raised for Delete Blood Cancer UK.
Brilliant.
THANK YOU again to Lucy and also to everyone who attended to volunteer and give up their time to encourage people to register as potential stem cell donors.
