With your help we can continue to expand another important part of Team Margot’s support for families caring for child cancer patients: “emergency grants”.
We know how hard life can be when caring for a sick child. When Margot was being treated in hospital, her parents Yaser & Vicki saw many families struggling to make ends meet, often for some of the most basic needs. This was for a variety of reasons, not least because of the parents inability to work. Often these families accumulate significant debts and some are bankrupted by the illness.
Accordingly, Team Margot Foundation makes ‘one-off’ £1,000 grants to families caring for child cancer patients. These grants are for the recipient families to use in any way they wish. These grants have come to be regarded as ‘emergency grants’ by the hospital employees and social workers that put forward the applications, because the funds are approved and typically arrive within 24 hours, following receipt of the patient’s bank details.
Team Margot has already made over 250 of these “emergency” grants since 2015 via our network of hospitals and with your help we can do more.

Team Margot also provides secretariat support to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Ethnicity Transplantation and Transfusion.
