At Mayor’s Question Time today…

By

We were delighted to receive an email from the Deputy Mayor’s Office today, informing us that Victoria Borwick asked a question at Mayor’s Question Time today about stem cell donation and more specifically, about setting up a stem cell swabbing station at City Hall.

This was prompted following an initiative by Brad Wigington, an Advanced Train Maintainer on the London Underground, Central Line Fleet, who is also an active Team Margot supporter and who is promoting the idea of holding donor registration events on the Transport For London network, working with Delete Blood Cancer UK.

Brilliant. Well done Brad !

Victoria Borwick, Deputy Mayor posed question No: 2014/5167:

Will the Mayor ensure that City Hall works with Delete Blood Cancer to set up a swabbing station at City Hall on a scheduled donor registration day so that City Hall employees have the opportunity to sign up as stem cell donors?

You will find information and a transcript via this link. http://www.london.gov.uk/moderngov/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=0&MId=5417&Ver=4  The transcript should be up after the New Year.
