Today is the date Margot was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2013 & we are marking the Team Margot Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Registration Day by publicly releasing “Light The Way“, a song & music video which was inspired by Margot.
Music has the ability to engage and motivate large numbers of people & we hope that “Light The Way” will do just that. Our aspiration is to see 1.1 million new potential donors join the bone marrow registers.
Many thousands of patients worldwide are urgently seeking a perfect donor match and they need immediate help, in order to survive.

Two 18 year old students at Elstree University Technical College (EUTC), Grace Hynds & Daniella Bernard wrote a ballad, which was inspired by my daughter, Margot. Working in conjunction with our family, they performed and recorded their song, “Light The Way”, assisted by their fellow students and college tutors and supported by various professional musicians, including a choir and a string quartet from the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
Today, on Team Margot’s Stem Cell and Bone Marrow Registration Day we have publicly released “Light The Way“. The song & music video is widely available at no charge on Spotify & other music streaming platforms, but we ask viewers & listeners to urgently register as potential stem cell donors & then encourage ‘Just One More‘ to do the same.
