If you can find a few minutes, please take the time to send a letter to your local MP (see how below).
You’ll see that we have drafted a sample letter for you to use, but we are learning that personal letters really help to make a difference and resonate most.

Team Margot is campaigning in Parliament to raise awareness of the importance of donor registration, specifically for people of mixed ethnicity. We are campaigning to:
• Encourage more people to join the UK stem cell and bone marrow register
• make children of primary school age conscious of how they can help save someone’s life by “Giving to help others”: giving blood, giving stem cells / bone marrow and ultimately, giving organs
• Improve the prospects of finding a donor match by calling on the UK Government to work internationally to establish a Virtual Register for the rest of the world
Increasing the number of donors will ultimately save more lives. We have been greatly encouraged by the response we have received from MPs so far, but we still need to do more. By raising political awareness we hope to put these issues firmly on the agenda at Westminster.
You can help by telling your MP about Team Margot’s campaign and asking them for their support. If you know who your MP is you can write to them direct at the House of Commons, London, SW1 0AA
Alternatively, you can find out who your MP is on this quick and easy to use website where you can also send a message.
We have drafted a campaign letter that you can use here but your letter will make the biggest impact if you are able to put into words / include why our campaign is important to you personally and perhaps even write your letter by hand.
THANK YOU in advance for all your help and support.
