Earlier today, and for the second year running, Wednesbury Athletic FC competed for the Margot Martini Cup in an exhibition match, this time against the Walsall Legends, to raise awareness and funds for Team Margot Foundation.

Hundreds turned out to watch the match which ended as a 4-4 draw, which means that Wednesbury Athletic FC retain the cup for next year.

Thank you so much to Chasetown FC for hosting, to both teams and also to everyone who supported and came to watch; in particular to Gav Ingles and Sarah Tranter for leading the charge – events like this don’t just happen on their own ! and if this year is anything to go by, next year will be bigger and better still.

Thank you to all those who donated raffle prizes and to everyone for coming to support.
